I am diabetic, and it is important to get all the small shards. I use a broom first, then I vacuum, and then I run over the area with a damp cloth. Haven't missed any so far!

sweep or vacuum first and then take a handful of slightly wet paper towels and go over the area. It will get every last little shard. Toss it in the trash and no worries

Sweep it up first, then vacuum.
If you vacuum first, the glass will rip the bag.
