yes he did. think of all the new comers that just got title shots like that? *snap of fingers* i mean yea it probobly was for a stroyline but he does have a point, a very noticable point, i think the WWE needs to let them get more experience instead of just getting a title shot at the snapo of their fingers

I think that whole Flair skit was to wake up Carlito. I heard he's real lazy backstage.
I say bravo to Flair. Even if it was a skit, back in his day wrestlers earned their chance at the main event. Not because of some flimsy interference or the fact that they were "flavor of the month." And I'm glad to see 2 veterans main eventing @ Wrestlemania. I hope they whup some @$$ cuz I'm tired of having relatively new wrestlers carrying titles for months on end because they happen to be over with fans. It took Chris Benoit 18 years to earn a spot in the main event. It took the late, great Eddie Guerrero 16 years. THEY earned their spots. Guess who hasn't?

I agree. Flair came into the business in 1972 when the moves that were performed where a whole lot more physical than it is now. Very few wrestlers in this generation couldn't handle how things were back then; they also got paid a whole lot less too. Nowadays if you can act and stay in shape you can be wrestler. Also I would like to stay in my opinion that Flair should finally retire. He has proven himself to be the best wrestler in the world. Why is he still doing this? There's nothing left to prove?

He does have a point. A good point.
Just looking at the quality of the shows now should tell you things have changed, and not for the best.
They have wrestlers coming in and getting wins over big superstars (the 'real' ones) or belts in their first match. Then getting huge pushes. I doubt most of them have to really work for any thing.
It's sad.

I saw that, Ric was really giving it to him. Maybe because things have changed a lot since his time. Back in his days, they were expected to work hard, today young wrestlers don't really care much about that... They don't even respect their Elderly anymore, look at Randy Orton and Kenny.

flair mite b getting ready to retire, and he did hav a point, cuz a lot of younger ppl are getting instant shots. like mnm when they walked in they got the tag belts, then mercury screwed up cuz he was on drugs. lashley even tho i like him, kinda got through easy, but then again he has a lot to offer. mr kennedy, kinda got a bigger shot after the eddie guerrero incident.
but yeah he has a point.
