Wow really where to begin.
Their music is one of care and compassion for that in itself the music. I love how they always give back to their fans myself included they have given me advice personally.
I also think that its very positive for jade and davey to be striaght edge it sets a good example for people that you can still have fun and be yourself without wasting your life with cigarettes, drugs, alcohol, and promiscuous sex.
The vegetarian/vegan lifestyle i personally dont follow it but for them to be dedicated to that and maintain their health and be compassionate for animals is really great.
To be completely open by doing what they want to do if they want to wear make up they do just that. Its like they are setting the example of how to be an accepting individual and thats something that society needs in this world.
And for the comments about their sexuality jade has posted on the despair faction that none of the members are gay or bi so sorry to burst your bubble. but the comments are entirely irrelevant to the question in the first place.
there is definately alot more to the book than just the cover.

AFI means to be, is that their committed to their band, they write songs that have meanings, feelings, their one of a kind.
no one can replace them or try to be like them, it's not possible.
their the band for me. that's all i know.
hopefully they will come out with another album.

They don't have even one ephilosophy, let alone more, unless partying & banging chicks (or in the singer's case, boys) who dig them counts as a philosophy. Their music means another chewing gum pop product in the market, but I like the flavor, so I'll care for a little more & then spit it out & forget they ever existed.

i think the band sucks and the lead singer might be questioning his sexuality a little bit...but thats just my opinion
