I'm doing a writing project about superstitions. Can anyone help me?

Go to your library and look for a series of books called "The Foxfire Books," their books written by country folk about superstitions, old wives remedies, etc. Lots of good sources.

I'll opt to do the project for you.
The return postage may cripple me, financially, but the warm fuzzy feeling of knowing I have helped another will more than compensate for the lack of food.
I will warn you at this point that you may not receive very high marks, as I tend to engage in long, overly wordy and rambling prose, usually miles from the original subject, which has an effect, on the reader, I've been told, of being soporific.

In all fairness, superstitions are often misconceptions, or interpretations of occurrences observed in the surrounding world.
They become accepted as fact, due to the lack of other, perhaps more rational, explanations.
From there, they evolve into folklore and religion.

I would love to do your project for you but what would you learn from it? nothing! have you tried GOOGLING the word 'superstitions'? Or there is a hole section in the library about myths, Urban legends and superstitions. I've looked them up that have I know.

check out coast to coast am with george noory. has varied topics concerning, ghosts, superstitions, exsorcism and alot of metaphysical. it is a talk show on late night radio or they do have a web site where you can search for many things.

Superstitions are mostly started as storys that poeple started to seriously believe.
