A geek or nerd is a person that knows a subject too well at the experience of common knowledge. It could be sports, cars etc. In the 80s the nerd musicians were in the whole bohemian scene that included REM, They Might be Giants, 10,000 Maniacs and Talking Heads. I thought the nerds created the whole emo scene since it sounds like something they would do.

maximum indie rockers are "nerds and geeks". think of roughly it, they did no longer desire to be like all and sundry else and fall into the punk/pop rock mildew so as that they did what they had to do. Nerds and geeks do what they desire to do, do no longer hate.
