NO.
Do you really think that prostitution will help and stop poverty and joblessness? Do you really call prostitution a JOB, a career?
In fact, i think that once this is actually a law that it is legal in Michigan or in any other state, people will think that it is okay. CHildren lives are at stake. They will believe taht its okay! What will point of education be if there were jobs like this?? People will think hey, i dont need school I can just go out there and sell myself to anyone and GET paid alot more. BUT ITS not RIGHT. Our futures depend on saving the earth (scientists), curing AIDS (doctors) and many others.
Jobless? OKAY well there are many jobs out there that people can find. Yeh they dont make much, but its the reasonable thing to do. I dont think that going out there and selling yourself is even a choice, it shouldnt even be your last choice. That is just LOW SELF ESTEEM.
No matter what, I dont think that prostitution should even be legal in this country anywhere. I think that it is very immoral and wrong. Those who do this, need to talk to someone because doing something like this should not be "okay"

Las Vegas has not legalized prostitution. It is though in Pahrump, Nv. As far as unemployment and poverty, that is what happens when you are ruled by Democrats. If you tax people and businesses into the ground they will move away to a less costly area. Like Texas, or Nevada, or Oklahoma. Stop electing Socialists and you will eventually get rid of the majority of the high unemployment rate. It is a fact. Look at the states that are doing good.

NO, prostitution should NOT be legalized for any reason.
Joblessness and poverty in Michigan have entirely different reason than people just can't find work.
Prostitution DOES hurt others. It transmits STDs including HIV (AIDS). It harms the prostitute. It harms her children.
Prostitution is NOT being practiced by all. Admittedly, promiscuity is at an all time high. But if you can get it for free, then why pay for it? Especially why pay some (expletive deleted) in Michigan?

The fact that most people engaged in prostitution do so out of desperation, and stop when they have other job opportunities, says that this is NOT a victimless crime. I don't denigrate prostitutes, because almost none of them choose it as a profession, and if it comes down to prostitution or letting your child starve, many women end up making that choice (and many others are hopelessly addicted to drugs, so their only way of getting them is to engage in prostitution), but I DO have a problem with prostitution itself. This is not only true of the U.S., but after hearing so much about Amsterdam's red light district, I walked through there and was shocked to see how depressed those women standing in neon-lit windows, their not-so-attractive bodies on display to all passers-by, looked. Anyone who thinks this is a victimless crime is deluding him/herself.

No, those people need to get a "real" job. I could never respect anyone with such a job. It's just so disgusting it makes me sick.
