The only way we can measure such a thing is by reviewing the repair record...how often do they break down...... GM and Ford aren't doing that good. Quality wise also they suffer. Check "Consumers Reports" unbiased automotive ratings for all vehicles that come to North America(they don't get payment from any manufacturer). And they have been doing this assessment since '68 or even longer.

No. Both Ford and GM are CAPABLE of engineering feats that would make all other automakers tremble. The problem is American automakers are just now (after fifty years) beginning to see that the buying public actually WANTS hyper-engineered vehicles -- NOT wire wheel covers, landau roofs or plastic imitation woodgrain doors.

They sure seem to be. I have my Nissan Exalta now for 6 years with NO problems. I couldn't match that by my Eagles, Chrysler, and Chevy that I used to have.

KIA in Laos actually translates into "Sh*t" and for cowboy who responded first Hyundai and KIA are an similar aspect all of them say Hyundai/KIA motor co. on all of there elements so both are crap.
