I've been using liquid-oil free base foundation for several years and I am planning to convert to mineral makeup based on all the good reviews from it. Most people are using Bare Escentuals and I.D.'s mineral makeup but they're more on the expensive side. I've been told that Everyday Mineral offering the similar stuff but is their quality comparable to BE or I.D's? And does it look natural?

Thanks for answering my question! :)

It doesn't matter about the price of the mineral makeup. They are all basically the same. But you do have to check the ingredients.
I use Affordable Mineral Makeup. I have tried a few others, but they either contains small amounts of preservatives or are made up with a lot of fillers. The mineral makeup goes a long way. It is a little bit more than some of the drugstore foundations but it will last longer. It brings out your natural beauty while minimizing any flaws or wrinkles. It is multi-purpose and very versatile. Affordable Mineral Makeup is micro-formulated using the highest quality minerals and botanicals; being naturally preservative and irritant-free it is also weightless and incredibly long-wearing. It does not clog pores and it has a naturally high SPF. It helps to calm and soothe irritated skin with its zinc content, and is water resistant. Providing excellent coverage.
Affordable Mineral Makeup does not contain Bismuth Oxychloride like many of the other mineral foundations do. Bismuth can clog your pores and cause your skin to itch. There are problems associated with it. Its molecular makeup is a crystalline shape, which may be a cause of the itchiness some women get when they wear it. Many women experience noticeable itching when they sweat. Don't forget it is also kin to arsenic, chemically. Your body will reject things it does not like, and if you'll get sick from ingesting arsenic, it would make sense that your skin would get irritated from having arsenic forced into it. Companies use Bismuth in their cosmetics because it is cheap to buy and is an inexpensive filler. It does have binding qualities, so the makeup will "stick" to your skin, so to speak. But there are other products that are just as effective at adhesion, and are better for your skin.
Many other makeups contain preservatives that are also not good for your skin.

Affordable Mineral Makeup enables you to feel free, experience natural beauty and is good for you.

Benefits of Affordable Mineral Makeup itself:
Each ingredient has its own special quality and purpose in the makeup.
These are the ingredients making up Affordable Mineral Makeup, pure and simple.
•Zinc Oxide is known for its healing properties in problem skin such as rosacea and acne, it has the ability to stay on even while sweating and swimming, as well as offers protection from the sun's harmful UV rays.
•Titanium Dioxide also has waterproof and SPF properties while providing a Matte look.
•Mica has some transparent properties and allows the makeup to go on smoothly.
•Iron Oxides give the makeup its pigment.

I have listed some sites under resources to check out. You can find out the ingredients of most of the makeups out there. You want to find a mineral makeup that contains very few ingredients. You don't want to use something that has a lot of inexpensive fillers.

I ordered their sample kit, and I absolutely loved the makeup. It looked extremely natural ....not shiny like Bare Escentuals. I tried all of their formulas- matte, semi-matte and the "standard" formula that they offer...can't remember the name, but it was more shiny than the others. I loved the semi-matte the best. It gave me a "dewy", airbrushed look. VERY natural, which was different from Bare Escentuals. That looked way too shiny on me, and didn't hold up well when I sweated. The only thing bad about Everyday Minerals for me was that I happen to be one of the unlucky people who are sensitive to mica, and the makeup made me break out after wearing it for several days. The same happened when I wore Bare Escentuals. I wish it didn't though...it is wonderful stuff! I'd highly recommend giving the free sample kit a try. It seems like quality mineral makeup at a very reasonable price.
I now wear J. Lynne's mineral foundation as it doesn't have as much mica in it and it doesn't irritate my face. I think it looks as good as Everyday Minerals, but it is a little more expensive! Overall, I'd say undoubtedly Everyday Minerals is as good quality-wise as Bare Escentuals is. Checkout www.makeupalley.com for good reviews on the different kinds of mineral makeups out there (there are MANY...I've tried maybe 6 brands before)- I always use that site and it's always useful! Good luck!

I am a convert from liquid makeup to mineral foundation. I love it. It goes on easy, covers well, easy to blend, do not break out and I think lasts longer through the day. I have a makeup/cosmetics web store- looselipsny.com I can send you a free sample of mineral makeup if you would like to try it.

Neutrogena has a mineral foundation and bronzer that is half the cost of bare escentuals. It has pretty much the same ingredients.

All I can tell you is that I shelled out the big bucks for Bare Escentuals, and my skin is worse now. I usually don't wear makeup because I still break-out here and there despite being 40. So I got that because I recently started dating again. But Now my pores are all clogged and I'm really disappointed!

hi! i've got merely began making use of huge-unfold Minerals, and that i'm having particularly some exciting with it. i like the theory that that's surely organic, because of the fact there's no longer something worse than paying a good bite of substitute for cosmetics, just to have it reason your dermis to react badly. i began out with the loose (with the exception of transport) pattern kit, and extremely loved the coverage and colours for my dermis. the unique Glo formula appeared too metallically vibrant for my dermis, yet different than that i easily loved the commencing place. Now i take advantage of the Matte or in intensity formula. they have maximum of colours from which to pass with, that I form of get overwhelmed attempting to %. precisely the "suitable" colours, yet each thing is nicely blendable--you are able to't bypass extraordinarily incorrect. good success!
