cash advance? maybe not, but if you have any sort of credit history (hopefully its good) you might be able to get a loan. btw just for info dont ever go to one of those places that offer you cash for your car title, those places are baaaaaaaad

All the ones i have known you have to write them a check and post date it......i have heard of some that will do small personal loans but i think all you need is a open account that they can verify..but i still think you need a check to give them to hold....i would just call all the loan places and ask them...DO NOT DO A TITLE LOAN>>BAD BAD idea! Sorry about your friend..not familiar with that area....can she go to social services and get homeless assistance.....also health and welfare can give her food stamps...where i live you can get a voucher for a hotel at the social services that they will pay for 1 or 2 weeks if you have no place to go.Check into it!! I am a financial counselor. Trust me when I tell you that getting a cash advance at a "cash advance place" would be a huge mistake. It's safer than the street corner loan shark but it's financially the worst move you can make. Whatever you have in that savings would be there for them to take at whatever time they felt like it and if they made a mistake, they tell you it will take 3 months to give your money back. This actually happened to a client of mine. Find another way to solve your problem.

Get a loan at the same bank using your savings as collateral. That is a good way to start getting good credit history if you make the payments on time, or before, so you do not have to pay so much interest. The savings account will be frozen until you pay back all of the loan.

I don't know any places for the cash advance but you might could call some kind of shelters around your town to see if your friend could stay there. And also talk to a social worker there to help your friend get back on their feet. Good Luck and God Bless....
