graphical form allows you to see the pattern/trend behind the data more easily. It's great for people who are not very analytic ie: presenting to a board. (not implying anything). While numerical form gives very precise information, it may not be as useful for prediction purposes as graphics.

Finally, we do not see things in numbers (think Neo) but most of us handle graphs better

Well graphic form only shows a handful of numbers, mainly giving you the pattern. Numeric form gives you all the numbers, but you have to find the pattern. If we have a large amount of numbers we would like to see a graph. If we have a small amount of numbers then the numeric presentation is good.
