I really like Canada as an "energy play"...CNQ an oil/gas purveyor has the resources that the U.S. needs... for years and years and years to come...they're close, they're not a bitter enemy, nobody is blowing up the roads or their neighbors....we will depend on them every time oil delivery gets shaky from the normal sources in unsettled countries...Venezuela, Nigeria, Iraq, etc.

in general yes but do your home work on projected growth and look for things like mergers (hint hint)
