In San Jose, there are a few Wineries in the city and close by, visit jhlor winery, there is another winery in San Jose in the Hillls that has a breath taking view. If you have some time, go to Napa Valley, famouse for their wineries, it is a very nice romantic drive, the wineries are awesome. is quite the distance from San Jose but it is well worth it to go visit, also, San Francisco.... there is sooo much to see there, pier 49, there are a few beatifull cathedrals, you can cath a ferry, get on a cable cart.... that is just a few suggestions.
have fun :)

Go the Club's like the BEE-Hive on the weekend. Then, go to the Internet cafe's one of the malls in that area. Then, there's Great America in Santa Clara off the 580 highway. Mostly, a dull area until you get to the Bay Area.

If you like shopping, Santana row is pretty nice.
If you like to hike, there are lots of places close by in the Santa Cruz mountains.
If you like the beach, it's a 45 minute drive to Santa Cruz.
