The former Scottish Goalkeeper D.O.B, 26th September 1952. Started at East Sterling 1970 - 1971 playing 43 and even scored a goal himself, 1970 - 1977 Blackpool 117 (0) 1977 1980 Everton 103 (0) 1980 - 1983 Arsenal 60 (0) 1983 1987 Crystal Palace (player of the year) 192 (0) 1987 - 1990 Cardiff City 67 (0) 1989 -1990 Blackpool (loan) 15 (0) 1990 - 1991 Hereford 41 (0). George Wood only managed to play 4 Games for his native Scotland but managed quite a lot of Games in 21 years 638 + 4 = 642 and not forgetting 1 Goal.

Don't remember too much about him. Know he played in goal for Everton and Arsenal back in the 80's and got a few Scottish caps. Other than that, can't shed much more light on your "question".
