Anyone attends boarding school? Have friends who do?

How's life there? Is it hard to fit in? Are they cliqueish? Are there many Asians there...and if so, do they have a hard time of it?

I went to an orientation for a boarding school for my son. I was really impressed with the way that all of the kids seemed to get along.
They gave off the 'big family' vibe. When you call the school, dont be afraid to ask about the racial breakdown. Also dont assume that just because someone has the same racial make up that you and that person are going to be friends.
There were to hispanic children at the school and they did not appear to be friends at all as one was particularly atheltic and the other was more of a metrosexual.
Guess it would depend on the school but I would guess just like at any school there are people who get along better than others but I think it would be a blast to attend one and wish I had the opportunity to do so when I was younger.
See if the school that you have an interest in has an open house.
