I have a Vox Valvetronix 30 watt combo for my home practice use.The amp models and effects are better than anything that Line 6 has.I never owned a Vox before,I played it at Guitar Center and bought it right then.I still have a Marshall JCM 900 and I've owned Fender and Crate amps, too.I can tell you from experience that the Valvetronix amps are first-class all the way.

Yes. Line 6 Spider 30 III (that's Roman 3) or its bigger brother, Spider 75 III. They are BADAZZ hot, awesome distortions, tons of bass because they have 12" Celestion speakers (12" = lotrs of bass; Celestion = the best speakers that exist) and chorus/flanger/rever/echo/phaser... you name it - and then sets of sounds you can save and switch with one touch. I have generation II and will buy another one from gen. III and use them in stereo. Oh - the 30W amp is under $200 at musiciansfriend.com and other online stores, so you're almost there. The 75W is a biit more - 249 or 299, I'm not sure.

if you want an amp that actually has effects in it, then you want a line6...there's a whole line on their amps that have all sorts of effects and amp modeling. They are not terribly expensive, but you're gonna need to save up...check out the Line6 Spider III, Flextone III and the Vetta II...or just go to www.line6.com and look at them. But, with any amp, you need to try it out at a shop first.

if u want an amp with effects and stuff, u really should consider line 6. its real good with nice effects so u dont need to waste money on extra effects pedals.
