I am a Democrat and would like to start out in the entry level working volunteer work in Monroe, Mi...but I do not want to run for office. I do not work now but I am not homeless as my wife is a RN and I am between jobs. Thanks for any input

Call your county party HQ.
Monroe County Democratic Party

Cell Phone: 734 243-4485

They always need more help...but you should consider the GOP, as well :-)

EDIT: I'm the only one who actually answered the question, and some clown gives me a thumbs down. You people are pathetic.

Find a cause you care about (shelters for the homeless, fund raising for the red cross, anything that means something to you), and offer your services as a volunteer. That way you will get to know people in the community. If you are not a member of the Dem party, then become a card-carrying member, and ask your local association what you can do to help. They'll surely put you to work.
