I just got The Sims Life Stories, and it wont run on my computer..?

It keeps saying that I need to insert a disk, but it's in there! and It's not my computer because I tried another disk, which worked just find. I can hear my computer reading it, but then it just stops...Any ideas?

I think they only made the game in PC-DVD format, so if you don't have a DVD reader, than you can't play it. sorry. :(

are you putting a dvd disc into a cd tray??
