Well if you think he's going to be offended, then ask him straight up! There's no nice way to offend anyone!

I would make his favourite dinner, get him comfortable and in a cuddling kind of mood and then just say, "hun...I''m not sure how to ask you this but I'd appreciate if you'd give me an answer and not get offended, cause I'm not asking in order to offend you, it is just something I need to know.."

Timing is always good. You must know when to approach? Say, I feel first. I feel means you are entitled. If he needs time give him that, but ask when is the best time to bring it up. Day and time. If you are spending more than 15 to 20 minutes and are not getting anywhere stop. Always say you love them. Try even touching and caressing to ease and show you still care. Though do not get pushed. Be stern and always compromise.

Baby, if he is your husband, he should not be offened by any question. That is what partnership is about. It is something like bad breath, find a way to make it discrete. Like get the toothpaste and mouth wash you know works and be like baby look what I bought today. Don't say anything, just let him use it. It is something serious, you should be able to sit down and talk to your man without him getting mad.

Depends upon the question. If you have trouble asking an important question then your probably have other communication problems in your relationship as well.
You can start with, "I don't know exactly how to ask this..."

It depends on what the question is, and what type of person your husband is.
Need more information to give an honest opinion.
