No, but when I'm coming up from the basement (and the lights have already been turned off) I put my hands over my ears and run like hell up the stairs. My butt gets all squinched up when I'm running because I think someone's gonna grab me from behind.

No, it's best to sneak up to the bed on your knees, lift the covers to see underneath the bed. Once when I jumped on the bed a troll was able to grab my ankle. It wasn't pretty. Yes I'm >20.

Yes, my kids and I were just talking about this last weekend. I am over 40 and I told them I still sometimes think about that. I even intentionally bought a bed that noone could even ever get under and I still think/worry about that.

lol. when i was like 10 after reading junie b jones has a monster under her bad i would do that. i was very sure one day some thing would get me, im 15 now and havent done it since
