You've heard of statistics and the Bell curve? The bell curve states that so many (the greatest number) usually falls "in the middle" and therefore to help people, you need to help those "in the middle" because the greatest number are THERE! Not everyone is there, but most. There will be those poorer and those richer. You miss those poorer and that's terrible, and you miss the richer ones and that's no big deal, they don't need it anyways.

So the trick is to help those in the middle while helping those less fortunate too.
