I have a i*pod mini and it won't turn on to where it goes to the songs! I listened to it all the way to Fort Wayne and then it was dead. Would me leaving in the car cause it not to come on? My i*pod won't get regonixed by the computer. I tried charging my i*pod but it won't so I think that there may be something wrong with the battery in it! How do you know when you fried your battery?
Please help!
Thanks a lot!

You may need to reset it: to do it you hold down the center button and menu button, and if that doesn't work, you can go to apple.com and check their FAQ

Yes, ive seen what you have gone through. I had the original ipod, and it died about a year or two after, then i had purchased a Green Ipod mini and it died from battery failure. Then I had recently purchased the New Ipod Video 80GB. So, by what you are saying with your ipod, it may not be dead, it could be frozen. To fix your problem: (from http://www.apple.com/)

This will help with the following:
Fifth Generation iPod (also known as iPod with video)
iPod nano (Second Generation)
iPod nano
iPod with color display (iPod photo)
iPod (Click Wheel)
iPod mini
iPod mini (Second Generation)

Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)

Press and hold the Menu and Center (Select) buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 10 seconds. You may need to repeat this step.
Tip: If you are having difficulty resetting your iPod, set it on a flat surface. Make sure the finger pressing the Select button is not touching any part of the click wheel. Also make sure that you are pressing the Menu button toward the outside of the click wheel, and not near the center.

If the above steps did not work, try connecting iPod to a power adapter and plug the power adapter into an electrical outlet, or connect iPod to your computer. Make sure the computer is turned on and isn't set to go to sleep.

If none of this helped your ipod could possible be dead, but could be fixed. go to http://www.depot.info.apple.com/ do what the following instructions say on that website/ IF your ipod converage does nto help go to http://www.apple.com/retail/geniusbar/ put in your store and look for signing up for the genius bar. What you need to do is when you sign up for a time, go to the store with ALL of your ipod equipmen that came iwth the box, and your email adress and password for itunes. They will talk to you about what the next possiblitty and step is for you. They may talk you into a new ipod, cause thats what most people would go to. Your ipod could be fixed but it may not be worth the price, it could be the price of a new ipod. Good Luck and hoped this helped!

You should check if it's on HOLD at the top. If not, then it sounds like the iPod is DEAD. Do you remember dropping it recently? dropping your iPod on the floor could kill it instantly if it's not protected by iSkin. You should call Apple Customer Service & Support, look on the website for the phone number. They will guide you through step by step instructions to see if you can fix it or maybe send it in for repairs.
