Itachi Uchiha would win. It's a fact -- you can look on most resources -- that Itachi is stronger than Orochimaru. Most people have seen an icon of Orochimaru and Itachi -- about who's more "evil". It's actually true. Orochimaru was in Akatsuki, but he quit because of Itachi. He wanted his body, but since Itachi kept getting stronger -- he just went after Sasuke.
So obviously, in combat; Itachi would winn.

Uchiha Itachi would definitely win. Orochimaru even admitted it himself; that Itachi is stronger than himself, I mean. Orochimaru fears Itachi and his amazing power. Which means that Uchiha Itachi has like AMAZING strength because Orochimaru is really strong, well I hope I helped. ^^

Itachi Uchiha, no question about it.
Orochimaru, knew he needed someone powerful for his next host. He admits that Itachi Uchiha's growing power had made it impossible for him to acquire his body and thus he chose to go after the much weaker Sasuke Uchiha instead.

If they fought, it would be an interesting battle for sure. But there is a chance that Uchiha Itachi would win, since the snake sannin is afraid of him. Itachi had been his target for his next vessel but had given up on that since he was afraid of him for he had gotten too strong for him. It was also said Itachi could par a sannin and he also has the Sharingan which Orochimaru had been after. He even achieved the Mangekyou Sharingan. And since Orochimaru had been in Akatsuki when he was targeting Itachi, it was for sure that Itachi had grown a lot stronger than before.

In fact, when Orochimaru was still in Akatsuki, he was the weakest amongst them....
