I am actually very dissapointed in the movie. Have you read the book? The movie is VERY different and portrays not what actually happened in the book. Anyone else have any opinons?

I think they just put more action into it to make the movie more interesting but they ended up chaning the whole thing!

The Hollywood people just want to make the movie as what they see and what they think is interesting, no what the movie is really about.

It's like, since the movie is soo different from the book, all they did is take the title of the book and make a completely different movie.

I agree 100%. it's one of my favorite books of all time and I was super excited about the movie coming out. Now that i've seen commericials for it - not so excited. What's with all the fantasy junk? That's not what the book is about - it's about the friendship. oh well.

Yeah! The first time I saw the ad for the movie I was like, "What the heck is this!? That's not what the book is about!" They totally put in a dumbed down, more action-oriented plot. The book is about kids who create a magical land and have adventures in their MINDS and using their IMAGINATIONS. It has nothing to do with unlocking a hidden secret to a magical land! The people in Hollywood just put this new plot in because kids today are too desensitized from movies and television and can't understand a little bit of a more emotional plot. Good job, Hollywood for ruining our children!

I agree with you. They almost ruined the book, just like they did with Eragon. They pulled off a lot of changes in the sisterhood of the traveling pants and many other movies and it worked. In this movie it didn't work. By the way did u noticewhen they boy asked what they should name the place, the girl answered so quickly. A real person would think about it more. Overall i was very disappointed wit this movie just like you.

I didn't realise there was a movie. I hate it when the movie is very different to the book, it's so disrespectful. I thought that was a really good book, it was so sad at the end.

YES!!!! I was soooo mad! The book was beautiful! I cried when Leslie died and it was a really touching story! Jessie and Leslie were so sweet! The bridge was symbolic! It was not real!!!! Well it wasn't really supposed to take them anywhere physical! It was in their minds! I was really disgusted with the movie. The fantasy part of the book was so small that I'm curious as to where they came up with that junk in the movie.

I haven't seen the movie but just by looking at the previews i knew it was completely different than the book. It makes me sad that they aren't keeping the story true to how the author wrote it.

I loved that book. And the movie just ruined it all. They used to many computer graphics and added more imaginations that never happened in the book. Leslie doesn't even look like Leslie. Did she die in the movie?
