I raise and breed geckos. I keep my crickets in a small plastic cage. Throw an apple in with them and put them someplace that you won't hear them. It's not good to keep a lot of crickets in with the lizards. They can actually kill your geckos. Also dust the crickets with calcium suplement. You can also feed them a dish of meal worms. Only give them wax worms as a treat.

well the crickets...maybe you should put them in a small cage...like a one gallon or whatever (that's what my brother does), and give them some egg cartons or something to climb on. His don't chirp very much. And he also has a ball python that has some strange eating habits. I think that each snake has it's own wants for eating. He actually has 2 ball pythons and a few other snakes and all eat at different times. Of course we don't do live feedings (frozen), but they eat whenever they want too. Don't worry, if the snake is hungry it will eat.

I usually put them in a plastic see through container with holes in it and then put them in a back room somewhere. You can get water crystals which, when added with water, become gel for them to get their water from. Keep some of this in the container. Also you might want to feed the crickets fish food and lettuce too keep em alive. You might also want to be aware that you have to put powder on the crickets so the lizard gets its vitamins.
The crickets are essentially another pet.
You could also just get mealworms or wax worms, which are quiet. I haven't personally been able to find any in my area, but if you can I'd say go for it.
Anyways here's a link of you have any more questions.

I'm accustomed to the sound of the chirping, you get used to it.

We get crickets for my gecko too and most of the time he doesn't eat for a couple of days at a time so I don't think you need to worry about them not eating everyday... as for the crickets making noise, we usually put the container in the cupboard or basement, I don't think there's much else you can do.
