so, i was just trying to gauge what people think about movies about 9-11. i personally, feel that it is a great way to memorialize that tragic day, and if its OK with the surviving members of the deceased people that they are trying to get a story about, then i don't see what the big deal is. however, i also know people that think it is horribly wrong and disturbing. what do you all think?

I have not viewed any of the movies, because my mother was affected by 911. She was in the building next to the pentagon, and it shattered the windows in her office from the impact. I personally think it is a great way to see what these poor souls went through. It is very sad. I watched it live and it was the most horrific thing I have ever seen.

I agree with you. 9-11 was a tragic day and shouldn't be remembered as a tragic day, but all tha actors are still alive. There making money off something bad, and that's a really bad thing 2 do. :-(

I really enjoy the 9/11 movies that they have put out.
I do not, however, agree with the woman who wrote a book about her husband dying on 9/11 and getting rich off of it.

I haven't watched any of them because it's not something I particularly enjoy thinking about for hours on end. That said, doesn't America pride itself on free speech? Shouldn't people be able to make movies/books about anything they like, and then we get to decide if we consume it?

well i think we should all remember and not forget. some where along the line when we fought the WW I and WWII we forgot that freedom is a freedom which not all have and we are lucky enough to possess it therefore we have to guard it tightly and we didn't. we let enough of the bad element to come into thsi country and it is the govt who knew exactly who they were we have to remember and stories are to keep it alive and well. we must remember and keep alert all of us and keep viligant.
