Adult literacy. The more educated we are the better we handle disasters, or even prevent them.

Why don't you 'live on the edge' and try giving your money to an organization that helps find homes for the homeless ... because they are living in a 'disaster zone' and may be functionally illiterate.

As a former adult literarcy tutor, for the functionally, illiterate, I would appreciate it if you would make a donation to your local adult literarcy organization.
I remember an adult student telling me he wanted to be able to go to the airport and read the signs, so he would know which gate to go to to catch his flight.
