This may be a trick question.
If the cat is not FIXED (which it should be) then the cat (if it is a female cat) CAN get pregnant.............. but certainly NOT by the dog.
So the questions are:
1. Is the cat female?
2. Is the cat spayed? (If not, shame on you)
3. Does the un-spayed cat have access to un-neutered male cats?
If the answers are yes, no, yes...........then yes, the cat can get pregnant but it won't be the dog that will be to blame.

If an elephant and a rhino got together, would they make babies? No. Cats and dogs are no different. Even though they've been living in the same households for hundreds of years, they're not going to suddenly have the same DNA and the same genetic code. Its just not possible. Rest easy. There will be no mutant cat-puppies coming from your cat. Let the dog do it unless the cat is noticably against it.

No, JH, CatDog is not a real scientific phenomenon. Dogs can only get dogs pregnant, and cats can only get cats pregnant, as humans cannot get either of them pregnant. You may want to go back through schooling in order to make more thoughtful predictions.

no a dog can't get a cat pregnant. the reason the dog humps the cat ia it's a dominicy thing. My dashy does my cat the same way and she raised him from a puppy .

because reproduction occurs only within the species. that mean only with their own kind. It's like a human can only get another human pregnant not a human can get a dog pregnant.
