The other day i noticed that there was a crack in the hinge of my nintendo ds. It is the smaller ring of the two, that helps hold the top and bottom parts together. (heres a picture) http://img117.imageshack.us/my.php?image=brokendspartwn0.png

any suggestions are welcome, thanks in advance.

Get it fixed by Nintendo, or if the place you bought it has in store repair do that. Not much else you can do

You can also get a new one. Sometimes when the hinge breaks, there is a video line for the upper screen that also runs through there, and if the hinge breaks more than a sliver, it can slice that line and the top screen will no longer work.

My sister's kid broke his in the same spot and same manner. I am in the process of replacing my sister's kid's one with a new one. I am working on getting one for free. If you want some details on this, send me an email.
