you should do this slowly so it doesn't hurt her little tummy, premix both formulas and mix right before feeding....
Day 1 mix 1/4 new formula with 3/4 old formula....do maybe 2 or 3 bottles like this today
Day 2 repeat day 1,if she tolerates this add one more mixed bottle today
Day 3 mix 1/2 new formula with 1/2 old formula.....do maybe 2 or 3 bottles likes this today
Day 4 repeat day 3,and again if she tolerates it add one more mixed bottle today
Day 5 mix 3/4 new formula with 1/4 old formula.....if she is doing well try about 3/4 of her bottles for the day with this mix.
Day 6 maybe repeat day 5 to be safe and then you can probably switch her right over.
Doing it slowly like this will lessen the effect of upsetting her tummy, hope this helps,I have had to do this before and was told to me by a dietitian at Childrens Hospital

If you're worried about stomech upsets, than I would mix the formulas. Mix 75/25 for a few days, than 50/50 , than just keep gradually increasing the amount of the new stuff until you're feeding 100% Promil. If you do it over the course of a week or two than you should be able to switch without problems. It will also help ensure that your baby takes the Promil, since some babies get used to a certain formula and then refuse all others.

DON'T JUST RANDOMLY SWITCH FORMULAS!!!!!!!
Big no-no!!!! If you automatically switch, you're baby will become very sick. The more advanced formula is far too rich for you baby's stomach right now. You need to ween her onto it. Take the s26 and add a little of the promil into it. A little more each day. by the end of the week she should be switched.
don't take any chances. Sick babies aren't fun. Believe me.
Hope I was a little bit of a help.
Love,

My twins were born premature and put on similac neosure advance, it was higher calorie. They were only suppose to be on it for 3-6 months then switch to normal similac advance. No matter what i tried, mixing it ect....they just did not take well to the new formula. What i tried though, was mixing the current formula with the new and gradually switching. For us, it never happened and the twins remained on the neosure til they were 1 and then went to milk. But try it gradually, maybe even a few weeks before you need to make the switch permanet. Try starting with 1 ounce of the new formula with however many ounces of the old to make what your child will drink from a bottle. Do that for a few days, then increase to 2 ounces new formula, then 3 ect til you have a bottle that is all the new. Good luck!

hi, I had an identical problem and that i desperate to alter formula besides. We merely did it sooner or later, even if i could recomend doing it in the morning merely in case infant's tummy doesnt trust new formula and you wont be up all nighttime. We have been additionally instructed to aim Soy formula yet my infant did badly on it ( significant constipation and spit up) so we tried a lactose loose formula and it became like a various infant! he's lots happier and his constipation is long gone and so are his little abdomen aches, Its o.k. to aim diverse formula till you discover one that suits your infant maximum suitable, good success and that i'm hoping it works out for you!

I have never heard of either of those. But to switch, make 2 ounces of the bottle, the new stuff, and 6 ounces of the old for the whole day. The next day do 3 or 4 ounces new, the rest old. And keep going like that until you are at 100% new stuff. If there is an alergic reaction, obviously it would be from the new stuff. Do it this way to change from formula to milk when she turns 1.
Good luck.

Start giving her the new stuff once a day (along with regular stuff) for 5 days, then twice ad day for 5 days etc until she's on the new stuff only. This way, if she's going to have any kind of allergic reaction, you will find out and she won't have such a bad reaction.
