at that age losing weight can be more than a struggle. smoking is an appatite suppressent so yes you will want to probable eat more. replace you addiction with another manual fixation, sunflower seeds, suckers or gum. also a craving only lasts about 15 minutes get the nicorette gum to get yourself over that hump then you should be okay... also adopt a good health exersise plan and NEVER eat dinner to late ! good luck

Okkkkkk, i can help u.....as a former smoker myself, i too was wondering how i could keep from weighing a zillion pounds.....because some people eat instead of smoke ....which can really pack on the pounds....i decided to see if i could exercise when i felt the urge to smoke...it worked.....not only did i quit smoking, but i lost a few pounds and got in really great shape.....good luck...just remember, you CAN do it....the first week is the hardest....after that, it's a piece of cake......:)

i know this is not the answer but i want to congratulate you tht u were able 2 quit smoking. it is hard. i know my uncle got addicted really badly and i know how hard it was 4 him 2 quit so kudos 2 u.
