Do you have a 'farmers market' in your town?
Check the 'things to do this weekend' in your local paper.
IF they have county fairs or bazzars in your area, that would be a good place to consider renting booth space if it is allowed.
If you choose to set up shop at a flea market, fair or bazzar, be prepared to wooo your potential customers in with small FREE samples of your product. I still remember going to a flea market in louisville kentucky and there was a man there selling what was essentially Sour cream and onion dip....he had his dip out for adults to sample on those skinny pretzels. Everyone that had a sample appeared to be buying them. I bought $45.00 worth. (my husband was PISSED).
People are WAAAAy more likely to purchase if they can test it out first. If it is good (and they are hungry) they are more likely to pay more.
Consider getting a couple boxes of crackers to put your jelly on
Dont know what other stuffs you are going to sell but look for a creative way to make small samples for people to try.

(I always remember going to the mall and the asian wok guy is handing out samples of burbon chicken. Several times I have actually purchased it when that was not my intention
GOOD LUCK!

There are extremely strict rules about the kind of kitchen you can prepare food for sale in. Your kitchen would have to pass state licensing inspections - very difficult for your average home kitchen...and impossible if you have animals in your home.

Your best bet would be to inquire with the owners of commerical kitchens to see if they'd be willing to rent you time in their licenced kitchens to whip up batches of your product.

You can sell food directly from your garden - but any processed foods are regulated. If you're reported (most likely by a commercial competitor who does jump through the hoops) you risks fines.
