George, I thought that you could afford better legal counsel than Yahoo Answers seeing how you're the president of the US.

You'll have very little luck getting a felony battery expunged. That is a felony that is typically not removed because it's considered a "pattern" behavior.

You will not get a pardon from the governor.

You will not be able to get a job on law enforcement, nursing, or schools. Your lawyer should have told you this when he represented you.

I believe it will be wiped off your record, but this all depends on your state laws. A relative received a pardon in the state of Iowa of his felony so that he could work in the insurance industry and it worked out just fine. I think the pardon is much like a parole hearing where you need to state how and why you have reformed and why you want to be in law enforcement.

If you have a record other than a disorderly persons offense than you cannot get a job in LE (in NJ) probably in other states as well. Even a drunk driving conviction is grounds for not getting a LE position. Police must be free from any prior negative contact with the court system (even expunged records are open for LE to review prior to employment)

Also no offense, although this may have been a youth-full transgression, you must have anger issues with a aggravated assault conviction on your record. No LE agency would take a change hiring you with a temper like that as you would be issued a gun and any citizen complaints would be hard to defend based on your prior actions.

The only way to get an expungement of your criminal record is by a pardon from a governor, or the President of the U.S., or if later on down the line it was proven that you were unjustly convicted and punished.

it will be almost impossible to get a felony removed from your record. however, it should not prevent you from getting a job in law enforcement
