If your parents kick you out of the house you can report them to the police and they will be in trouble for abandoning you.

Not in the state of NC. At 17 you can still be put on the missing person list by your parents.and be tried as an adult. They are presently working to pass the law, that you can't quit school at 16 anymore. If you are 17, where would you go? Do you have a job that would take care of rent, lights, water, food, health, clothes, transportation, phone etc... Unless you are being abused then you best stay put until you can provide all these things for yourself. Better yet, What are you doing to make your parents say get out? If you are being undisciplined then they really need to check and see if there's a program they can get you into. Most kids that don't want to abide by any rules always get mad when their parents say '' If you can't go by the house rules, then you can leave''. When you get out there and get into trouble and they try you as an adult then you want to say'' I should have listen to my parents'' Hope this is not the case. You have 1 more year to behave, try to finish school.

at age 17 they consider you a yong adult. although punishments are more severe with the law when you turn 18.. However.. Where im from.. (Texas) yes. legally you can move out at 17 and not get in trouble.. BUT.. if you get in trouble adn you dont live with your parents they will treat you like an adult.. so yea.. just dont get into trouble! but doesnt sound to good if your parents tell you to get out!?

no at 17 you are still considered as a child and should be under your parents care, therefore if a parents tell you to get out of the house, fight back and tell them to wait until at the legal age to get a job which is 18 yrs of age,and if a parents insists call the social welfare and they will take care of your parents

Yes, but it's not a bad idea to get emanciapted. But you will find it will be hard to lease an apartment etc. at the age of 17. I will keep you in my prayers :)
