last night, i had a dream that i was on the 7th floor of a building and an earthquake began. the end of my life was near. the building began to swing strongly. I saw a hammer on the floor and I struck the window so I could escape...as i crouched on the ledge of the window, preparing to jump as the building swayed on the way to falling down, I woke up. what does this mean?

Judging from your other questions that you have asked, I'd say you are feeling like you are teetering on the edge of something and you would like to have a resolution. Namely that you are looking for a woman. The dream seems to suggest that it will come because you want to "escape". Stop dwelling on this, go live your life and try very hard to do things that make you happy. Usually when you are doing those things, you will find someone that shares your interests. If not, hey - I have come to realize that if I end up alone in my life, it's not that bad. I can do what I want, I have good friends, life is good, isn't it?

Well, a lot of people say that if you actually die in a dream, you die in real life--so it's good that you woke up when you did.

Questions for you:
Do you ever go to the 7th floor of any building?
Do you live where there are frequent earthquakes?
Do you often use hammers?

Dreaming about death or near-death sometimes signifies that some part of your life is changing (dying). Most of these dreams don't really have to do with death.

I see something you may not like-- possibly your mind reflecting on its own faults. I see you, in this dream, as a person who finds himself in a serious situation. However, instead of riding it out and seeing your actions thru, you bail out right at the height of the danger. Jumping out of a 7th story window to escape an earthquake is not an advisable reaction in a real event, and that you do it in a dream shows you've found yourself in a hole of your own digging. But instead of digging yourself out, you take the fast and easy--though lethal-- way out because you don't want to deal with the consequences and confronting your mistakes.

You feel that you are in a situation that is perilous and that doom is imminent. The hammer and breaking the window represent a last ditch effort to escape.
