I once ate a rotten french fry in the army mess hall. They were all covered with catsup so I didn't know until it was too late. It was about 5 years before I had an appetite for french fries and that has now been about 30 years ago and if I get a burger and fry combo I always eat my fries first while they are hot. If they get cold I won't eat them.

Yes and no. I've had lobster on my birthday every year since I was 12. Last year I had a reaction to the lobster and threw up lobster and red wine for 12 hours straight. I still drink red wine but will never touch lobster again :(

Yes I can. Because the food itself doesn't disgust me, or I wouldn't have eaten it in the first place. My mother is the worst cook in the world. For years I couldn't eat cauliflower, and my sister couldn't eat spinach, because my mother would cook them until they were just a gloppy mess. It was only when I moved out of home that I discovered vegetables can be nice.

No, I don't think so. Smell and taste are powerful sensory reminders of good and bad things. Once it's a bad sensory memory I don't think you can change it, I have never been able to.
