Is San Fran the utopia that the far left envision for all of us? Should we support drug addicted homeless people with taxes from hard working citizens?

There is a large difference between prescription drugs and street drugs. The author of this question is not deriding the service people. He is attacking the do whatever you please we will cover the expenses.
I live close to S.F. and have worked in the city. Their attitude is I will do whatever I please in public. If you do not like it. CLOSE YOUR EYES. If you do not want your children to see it, do not bring them into the city. They believe S.F. is like a television turn it off if you do not like it.

The city is a haven for those who dislike the Military, those who believe it is the obligation of the workers to serve those who refuse to work.

I might be on prescription pain medication and cannot work because of them but I am working to get out of CA because I believe God helps those who help themselves. We are obligated to help those who fall. We are NOT OBLIGATED to help those who sit on their butts and refuse to help themselves.

If you wish to live in the gutter do so by yourself. If you are stuck in the gutter and want help to get out, I will do whatever is in my power to get you out and while I am helping you, you will help me help you.

Where did you get that from? Don't you realize how many people are addicted here and not by choice? Anti-depressants, blood pressure pills, aspirin? eccetera eccetera eccetera? Why are you so ignorant? Some people have been abused here with the importing of illegal substances to sell to them when they were minors? eh? And they were good at their jobs, and they had jobs as well. Many Vietnam vets were on heroine when they came back from that miserable war? and they are chemically dependent on methodone on and off. A great boxer by the name of Barney Ross was a Morphine addict, and he got that way fighting the Nazi's in WW II and he came back and kicked it later. Unless you know what you are talking about and be a little more humane you should not open your mouth! you sound like a little nazi. People are human beings, how would you like it if you had a kid that got in with the wrong crowd, or a son that got a shot of morphine for pain while in battle and then because they needed his body with a rifle in hand to defend the nation he had to stay on it, and then he becomes an addict? Would you blanketly state that they are all drug addicts lets let them starve and die? Well aren't you a moral person hmmmm? It does not matter how they get on it they are on it. We need to work for a cure! Do you know the man that invented Coca Cola only made it so he could get off the Morphine? He was a scientist and it worked! He put cocaine in the pop and cola nut, syrup, and carbonated soda, etc. Most drugs are made by scientists eh? And they are pushing Viagra pretty hot and heavy that is addicting as well bubba? Sex is a bigger problem in our country by the by pal. Molesting of innocent children? Concentrate on that for a while. San Francisco is at least trying to be a moral city and be a little more human than the barbarian trash that resides in my country and I am a Native here.

I am glad to see that you seem to know so much about San Francisco. Unfortunately some people, like you, want everyone to be exactly like them. Don't dare be different or disagree or you are something of a traitor or worse yet someone who appreciates diversity. Don't even think about helping old people or children. No, like Scrooge said in "A Christmas Carol "Let them die and reduce the surplus population" we don't want to have those who can best afford to pay do so do we? And of course you want to not allow old people and poor people have affordable health care. Education, what's that? No child left behind is more like let's only leave the poorest behind. Yes, my friend you have it all figured out, don't you. I doubt you even know where San Francisco is and have never been there.

Good luck citizen. It has been nice enlightening you about what you obviously don't know.

Of course. Just answer these 2 questions:
1) Who is the top elected Democrat in the country?
2) What city does this person represent?

Why do conservatives always think "liberals" want this..... Think people, all we want is for America to be the land of opportunity for everyone. Give people a chance, if they blow it or use it that's up to them. Sometimes **** happens and it's nice to know your country and fellow citizens will help out.. I thought conservatives try to portray the image of the church going do-gooders, but boy are they proving that image wrong - unless we are talking about the married with children gay minister who meets up with gay prostitutes while whispering family value policy in Bush's ear at a weekly White House breakfast meeting........
