In South Africa, yes, they are...in the US...well!!! The sad thing is, as a brown person, there are some cities I will never go to in the US. And that's a fact...I got stared at a lot in small towns...the thing is, why not offer scholarships that are directed to different ethnicities? Hopefully in the next 100 years, the US will be a place where race - which doesnt exist by the way- ceases to be an issue..some would argue that all the other scholarships that aren't for Native Americans, Hispanics or Blacks are for Whites, but I'm neither here nor there...

I agree, I am a white male and I just graduated college. I have found that there are a lot more demand of women of any race and men of pretty much of every race except whites. I know this is not true in every case but it seems to me that there is a lot of standards in the hiring/selection processes to hire people of ethnic races, which I have no problem with but at the sametime I will apply for the job and once I went up against another man for a job and I had more qualifications then the man, but since the job had just hired a white female they hired the ethnic male even though he had no experience what so ever. I wasn't upset but I believe we need to make the selection processes based on qualifications, not the color or sex of an individual

The reason for the diversity standard are a catch 22 well, not really, but are in a way... yes over 65% (know its atleast that from when i graduated) of all scholorship offered are offered to minorites... but in this way of thinking... that make caucasians now minorities... so it is a no descrimitory way of discriminating... lol. But I also understand the reasons for why they came around, since back when they did, descrimination was so horrible, if they didn't the a lot of minorities would never be alloted the chance they would decerve... but with how far its gone now-a-days, it no longer makes any sense. Like i said, yep, the caucasian is now the minority when i come to college scholorships... *sigh*.

Yes, I honestly believe that things are now quite biased against the whiter, heterosexual males. It's important to denote the hetero part, since even the homosexual white males seem to have more rights than their straight counterparts.
Affirmative Action made it so that women and minorities could get job preference, all other things being equal. However, that's always been abused, leaving the more qualified person jobless in order to fill a quota.
regardless of what some might like to think, white hetero males are an ever shrinking group and haven't beent he largest group in this country in quite a long time. It's all propaganda and no facts to keep insisting they are the largest group in the job market.
I think it is a polite, quite form of racism.

.I agree, but white females are included also. Almost anything we say, think, or do concerning another race is subject to us being considered as racists, but they are free to do it to us. And, as you said, where are the colleges and scholarships for the whites just because we are white? Why isn't there a "White" History month? Are there laws saying a company or business must hire a certain percentage of whites? This list could go on and on, but I know you know what I mean.
Dang good question.....you get a star!

Yes i trully believe this is happening. I am not rascist but believe that minorities are getting preferential treatment when it comes to government aid, scolarships, and employment. Places are looking at race mainly because they dont want to be sued for discrimination. In all actuality they should be looking at what qualifications a person has to offer. Seems like places are trying to reach a quota of having so many minorities but in the process are leaving the white male out in the cold. Sad that we have moved from one era of racism to another form.

It's true. There are so many advantages given to minorities while White Males receive no special treatement at all. Black people for example are still getting money from families whose great great ancestors owned slaves. There is just a big pity party for minorities and it makes me sick.
As for that one ******** who said that it's because there are more white people... that don't make no damn sense... Jobs and scholarships should go to the best person. Just because it may be 3 whites against 2 minorities doesnt mean the white is going to be the best canidate.... The problem is that even when they are the best canidate, which usually they are, they are getting passed over for a lesser person because that person has some color in his skin. BS.

Are white males experiencing the most discrimination? Absolutely not. I agree with most of your other points about preferential treatment being unfair in many cases, but when it comes to white men, they are still doing exceedingly well. Look at civic leaders, financial moguls, they are dominated by white male, much more so than their share of the population. So I don't feel too bad for any white male. If you lose your spot in admission because of preferential treatment, you are a borderline case to begin with.
You could make a point that women experience more discrimination.

Honestly, Emmy Dee, race is used to manipulate the anger of the working class, to keep their anger directed at each other, rather than at the class system which exploits them all equally. As Mikhail Bakunin pointed out, political equality is a meaningless sham without economic equality.

Yes...I support u.
U know!
One of most important jobs of the 'Judges' of Supreme Court is the Interpretation of Law
the Interpretation of Law
the Interpretation of Law
%99 of people and officials they don' know what is the meaning of Discrimination...the simple meaning is the Equality...
Sorry again there is Very Very serious problem here...What is: 0the Interpertation of Equality????
the Interpertation of Equality ??????
the Interpertation of Equality ????
IF we have 1000 Jobs and we want to give them 'without discrimination to people, how Equality works ????
All American & Canadian offices and companies they would say:
250 jobs for Whites out of 100,000 applicants
250 jobs for Blacks out of 200 applicants
250 jobs for Indians out of 21 applicants
250 jobs for Asians out of 5000 applicants...
No this is not Equality.... This is the reasons that all our Offices and Banks, Stores became 'Black Market' because they are enforced Equality and %90 of whites are poor now....
When you go to the Courts or many offices You think your are in Africa... all government receptionists are Black ...when Government runs by stupid people...this is one of the result ...
Even If I not be racists or be part of this group, the Government pushing me to that stage why when I am white all judges and clerks that I get in the Courts must be Black...
