A 96% is equal to an "A" as a grade and an "A" is a 4.0 on any scale. So your GPA is a 4.0!!!

I think it depends on the school policy for grading . Some schools would consider 90-100 good enough for 4.0 and others have a separation such as 97-100 --4.0 93-96 3.875 and 90-92---3.75 and there is one school in Erie that I know goes by a point per tenth scale . 100=4.00 99= 3.90 90= 3.00 etc.

in general, this is an A, which equals a 4.0 on a 4-point gpa scale

Usually a 96% would be a straight A, so yes I'd also say a 4.0.
