If you had surgery in the last 7 to 10 days I would call him now or head to the emergency room. If your surgery was over 2 weeks ago and the stitches were supposed to dissolve I might wait until tomorrow and then go to some urgent care facility. In other words, get to a health care provider and get the sutures fixed. It can be serious, especially if the stitch is a running or continuous stitch.

Call your doctor and ask him what to do. If you do not hear from the doctor, you can also call the emergency department of a hospital and speak to a nurse who can advise you as to what to do. Fridays are sometimes harder to get in touch with a family physician. You could get an infection in your stitches.

You should call the doctor they are on call for things like this. You may need to go to ER if you have a fever or there is swelling, heat, redness, an/or pus like dishcarge coming from the incision. It's always better to be safe. Good Luck

Yes, I would call her/him. I too had surgery and stitches about that long on my abdomen. Mine got infected and that part of it never did heal correctly. I tried to take care of it from home not wanting to bug the Dr. Well, the majority of the scar you can barely see. The part I should have taken care of does not look as good...very thick. Hope all else is well with you.

Actually it depends on how deep it is...if it is deep or bleeding then definately call your doctor. If not, your other option is to go to a drug store and buy steri-strips to close the wound back up until Monday. If you have any problems with keeping the wound closed or see any signs of infection or have fever call your doctor. Good Luck and take care!

initially, canines have bacteria on their tongues that help heal their wounds, clean themselves and so on... So her licking her stitches won't be a situation till she starts off nipping at them and attempting to tear them out. Secondly, she merely have been given spayed. That takes a tole on the immune device and the domestic canines physique herself. merely like a human have been to bypass and get surgical treatment, they choose time to recuperate. supply her a pair of days to relax. My canines jumped a fence in the previous and ripped down via her thighs muscle and superb throughout the time of the tendon. i could desire to observe her flex her thigh and notice the tendon flow. She had surgical treatment and definite, she licked her wound. that is all intuition. Now i did no longer enable her lick it for hours on end, superb here and there.
