my friend hannah and i were friends for like ever and this new girl jaila came and now hannah is being mean can you tell me why?
what can i do to get my friend back? if you were hannah who would you pick?

Well first of all, has this happened before? If not then ask other friends if she is being mean to them. If so FORGET HANNAH! MOVE ON!!!! If she is gonna treat you like dirt, move on , and talk to her parents about this situation.Then they probably will talk to Hannah and she will be in trouble and then she hopefully will feel bad and ask to be your friend and ask her if a new kid was to come would she do the same thing? if not, be her friend

I would sit Hannah down and tell her how you feel. Ask her why she is being mean. She may sense you are jealous of Jaila and may resent that you don't want her to have other friends besides you. There is no reason why you all three cannot be friends. Each person can bring something different into the friendship.
Why not invite both of them over to your house for dinner and a movie night to get to know each other, or for a game night, something like that. Don't resent her for having other friends too. You can also do something with her separately without Jaila and when you sit down with her you can tell her you miss your close friendship and would still like to do things like you use to. Remember as you get older, people do change and things are not always going to be the same and you may have to adapt to other ways. Embrace both and become a group of friends. Nothing wrong with having more friends. Hugs to you.

You know, that happened to me once and the best thing to do is ditch them both and find new friends. Friends don't treat people that way. Would you ever have done something like that to her? It's hard when you've been friends with someone for a long time, but things change and so do people. She went down what seems to be a very unfriendly road and you need to move on. She doesn't deserve to be your friend anyway.

May be shes been watching MEANGIRLS to many times who does she think she is.The new girls just a fad have you ever thought that this new girl might not actually like your friend hannah stalking her.Maybe because Jailas new and getting the attention hannah is maybe basking in the glory too.Jaila might be quiet nice once the fuss has died down you could try then or just start hanging out with some other good friends.

Give Hannah space. Maybe she is mean because she wants to be friends with just Jaila without you. Don't be mean back at her or Jaila. Because when Hannah finally figure out that your a true friend then she wouldn't have any negative commet made by you. Try making new friends yourself. If Hannah does finally picks Jaila over you at lest you would have other friends to be with. Just let her be and be yourself. Just remember that even if she doesn't want to be your friend just let her know that she would always be her friend and just leave it to that.

She's being mean because she can, and you probably weren't as good of friends as you thought. Having said that, why would you want her back, and why does it have to be a choice...
If this other girl is what you say, hannah will find out soon enough the hard way.

Why not be friends together, and not be mean about nothing or no one and it will go better, Why choose one when you can have 2 friends and hannah needs to grow up some but will be ok.

this is all a part of growing up. I two went thru the same thing many many times( i am now 33). You will all be friends but it will be hard for a while. She will soon realise and come back to you.

If I were Hannah i would pick the friend I've known longer. My guess is that Jaila is telling Hannah that If she's your friend she won't be friends with her or something along those lines.
