I am 38 weeks and my head is killing me all the sudden...Please do not tell me to call the doctor or go to the ER I just want to know if anyone else has had this. My eyes are acting kinda weird and I am seeing what looks like little fans in my left eye, floaters, but in the shape of spinning fans. This is my first pregnancy and I listen to my body and my body is not telling me it is an emergency because the eye thing happened before but it went away. It has gone away this time but now I just have a splitting headache. My blood sugar and blood pressure have always been great and we haven't had any concerns so far. I was just wondering if anyone had really bad eye problems that came and went within 30 minutes and had a headache that followed, if so what did you do or how long did it last????

Sudden onset of headachs can mean a rise in blood pressure, a symptom of PIH... but if your blood pressure is being monitored then I wouldn't fret too much. You could just be dehydrated, something VERY common in late pregnancy as your body produces so much amniotic fluids. Drink lots of water and you can safely take tylenol to help. Best news is that you wont be pregnant forever! Only 2 more weeks left.

Just because you haven't had problems with blood pressure so far, it doesn't mean that you can't or won't develop them.
I think that you should call your doctor or the maternity ward and explain wjhat is going on, they may want you to come in to be checked.
Isn't a headache a sign of pre-eclampsia- a condition that NEEDS to be caught early.

I know you didn't want that advice, but seriously, you shouldn't trust your unborn baby's- or your- health to stranger on the internet!

Good luck, and I hope that everything goes great for you!

I would strongly advise you to get to the ER. Even though you don't want to hear it, are you prepared for a stroke?? It's not just you, think of your unborn child, are you willing to risk the future of your babies life? PLEASE go now, or at least call the ER, and see what they advise. And then let us know how you're doing. Thanks.

i agree with pamela. I think you better go and check your blood pressure. It doesn't sound good.
