hi, i will start off by saying im an athiest, so i won't talk about prayer, but i will give you two personal experience that might help you in some small way

i can tell you about my experience, my whole life i wanted to have a baby, i am the oldest of 5 girls, my mom came from a family of 22 kids and my husband comes from a family of 12 kids , so very large familys run in our blood,
we do not have any children and we are now in our 40's, and we have come to terms , for not having a child when we were in our mid 20's, i found that stress caused a lot of our issues towards how we felt when we went to bed, one point in our lives when we were younger, our passionate nights turned into "our we going to conceive tonight" am i ovalating is it the right time, legs in the air, the whole bit....prayer was not going to change the fact that my pregnacy were etopic.each and every time...im very lucky to have a very good marriage and my husband and i worked through those times years ago, but my mother told me something that made me feel better when i was told they took my tubes away during an emergency etopic...she said

"you have a special place on this earth, and maybe one day you will have a child who will need you, that you might not of had in your life, if you had your own"

and she was right we have so many neices and nephews and helping out all the family with their kids has been absolutly wonderfull, i had a very successfull carreer and now semi retired at 40, i do a lot of volenteer work at the local school, and enjoy my life where it is at, .i am able to help

now for my younger sister story who just turned 28

she tried for 5 - years naturally to conceive, but no luck, and she thought it was possiable she was like me, unable to get pregnate, everything checks out fine and they did all the test, they found no reason, so 6 months ago my sister started taking a fertility drug and she announced at christmas 2006 she was preganate, we are very very excited and happy for her, its still early, but we are all rooting for her and her husband

so the moral NEVER GIVE UP, but may i suggest trying maybe to have the life you had before you started trying, it might help

i wish you nothing but luck, and hope

No; but here are some suggestions.
Whether or not you are Catholic, Mary the mother of Jesus is a great one to talk/pray to; talking to the Mother is a form of prayer. Let her know your desire.
Then, there is the story of Abraham & Sarah; she laughed from joy when she, barren for so long, conceived. Quoting scripture is a form of prayer.
Then, just praying whatever comes out of your heart.
Are you w/a partner; living w/a partner who believes in prayer ???
Then, when 2 or more are together, God is in the midst of them. So, why not also pray together on this, and ask God for direction.
Also, be prepared; sometimes God might say no; and, you and your partner may need to see if there are any problems. I hope not.
Keep the faith though; and God will lead you.
