It's definitely not Ronaldinho. He's got absolutely amazing ball skills, almost weird (how did he get those skills?), but if you look at his performance on an international stage such as the 2006 WC in Germany, he really didn't stand out at all. Anyway, it's really tough to say, because so many players are good at so many different things. I'd say Thierry Henry or Zinedine Zidane. When you watch them play you can tell they have control over the game and can influence the entire outcome.

Cristiano Ronaldo, for sure.

There are a lot of great footballers from our age.. such as Thierry Henry or Van Persie or Fabregas.. but Cristiano has the most skill and will make it the furthest. He is the best player in the EPL & the best Portugues, and at only 22 years old.. he has a long way to go. As a Madeirense who watches a lot of football, I am very proud of him

I think it's hard to say as not 1 player really sticks out. At GK you have Cech and Casillas...on DEF you have players like Puyol, Canavarro and John Terry..MID players like Ronaldinho, Lampard, Messi, C. Ronaldo and at FWD players like Henry and E'too. Not one really sticks out as the complete player, all are good at what they do but I don't think anyone is the next Maradona or Pele, they were just simply that great.

Hard question... by position.
Goalkeeper- Petr Cech
Defender- Fabio Cannavaro
Midfielder- Ronaldinho
Striker- As fast as Henry is, the best pure striker in the world may be Lucas Podalski
