For programming 39 is not too old. While the industry is aimed at 18-35 yo, the developers are mostely in there 30's and 40's. Most of the young people are testers, level designers, artists, and animators. The producers, designers and programmers are usually in their early 30,s or 40,s. The biggest thing is experience. If you eat breath and think programming you should have no problem. Keep in mind that the people in video game creation are video game building junkies. They live it, which means lots of 12 hour 7 days.

You're never too old for videogames. Think about all the people behind Nintendo, etc. With your creative mind, you can help make some great games. I hope you find a job you are happy with!

No, of course not. Just because it's targeted at a younger audience, it doesn't mean that the people behind it have to be young. They want bold, new ideas, and if you have lots to contribute and can think on your feet, you should go for it. If you think like a kid to make something for a kid, then a kid will buy it, get it?

You'll never be too old, age is only a number, but what you feel is what becomes you. As long as you feel your young enough, and have an imaginaition that can explore many different areas of ideas, then you are never too old for it...
I have to believe that... as that is also my dream of what i'd love to get into.
