why did favre come back for another season with the packers? they're not in any type of position to go to the superbowl. it must be for stats or records cause i can't see no reason why he would come back to them. maybe he loves the game, maybe it's another reason but, i think he should try to go to the bears. he's still good and he would be a perfect fit for them. what do u think?

Favre would never go to the bears, for the fact that he's always been a Packer, except his rookie year with the Falcons, and Bears and Packers are a big rivalry.

I really believe this is a good choice for him though, i mean the players around him are all young except their rb and wr, and they were able to have an 8-8 season with just that. There going to get better and I believe even playoffs. Doesnt mean they will outdue the bears but they can still be a wildcard team.

Favre is a Packer for life...do you hate loyal players or something? He's not coming back just to go out on a good note, he's coming back to play the game he loves. Why can't people see that? I'm not even a Packer fan and I can see that clear as day. The Packers should do okay this year too, improving to 8-8 last season was a great boost of confidence and their defense is mostly to thank for that (Although a little more protection from the deepball would have put the team right into the playoffs...that's pretty sad for the NFC though).

It's the game for Favre...

okay, everyone who said they wouldn't want Favre as a QB is mentally Ill. he is the Best QB of all time. He holds numbers of records including: Most Career Completions (5021), Most seasons with 20 or more Touchdown passes (12, consecutive), and most consecutive starts as a quarter back (237, 257 including playoffs) If that isn't enough he's closing in on even more records behind big name QBs such as Marino and Elway. And it is IMPOSSIBLE for him to go to the Bears. In 2001 he signed a "lifetime" contract with the Packers. And yes they are in a position to go to playoffs. They won their last 4 games including against the BEARS in CHICAGO. Tell me that isn't a good win. So Brett Favre is a great QB, no doubt about it. and he CAN'T go to the Bears.

I come from a lengthy line of Packer followers, (i'm also a Bears fan) yet none human beings quite ever were large Favre followers.. in my opinion, i imagine he's only a cocky son of a b*tch. he's gettin slightly old for the pastime, and he desires to retire and shop it that way. all an same, he's an outstanding participant and he benefited his crew... earlier he left us. Going to the Jets became in basic terms incorrect, although the Vikings.. heavily?! communicate about complete betrayal!! And if he thinks he and his new "crew" are gonna defeat the Packers (or the Bears[= ) he's were given yet another element comin'...there's a lot resentment in the route of him now.. That on my own ought to deliver him down.. upload our remarkable protection, and remarkable Aaron!!(:, and undesirable Mr. Favre is gonna die at Lambeau in pink and Gold(:

I don't think it would be good for the game of football. Brett Favre is one of the last true franchise players. I am a huge Bears fan and a big Favre fan, and I would have love to have seen him there 16 years ago but he is one of the greats. And greats finish in the same city they started.

Of course, go to the Bears. Who cares. At 55 years old no one who knows anything about football would take a chance on Brett. They only have him in GB to bring in his fans. And the guy himself is a pompous weinerhead, however you cut the mustard. To even consider leaving the city that loves you shows just how little loyalty he has to the Packers fans, organization and team

Ugh. No. Brett Favre a Bear? No way in hell. After 15 seasons in Green Bay, I think he'd spontaneously combust if he tried to put on a Bears jersey. =)

No, he is the "picture" of the Packers. When you think of Brett Favre, you think of the Green Bay Packers.

The Bears aren't in any better position. They won't give up a potential QB of the future who needs to get his game under control for someone who has 1 year left, and probably not a great one, at that.
