"Carbon dioxide enters the leaf through holes called stomata and combines with the stored energy in the chloroplasts through a chemical reaction to produce a simple sugar. The sugar is then transported through tubes in the leaf to the roots, stems and fruits of the plants. Some of the sugar is used immediately by the plant for energy; some is stored as starch; and some is built into a more complex substance, like plant tissue or cellulose."

Plants obtain the carbon dioxide they need by Stomata. Stomata are microscopic pores on the bottom of leaves that open and close to let O2 out and CO2 in. The CO2 is then fixed into organic compounds such as the five carbon compound: RuBP to produce a 6 carbon compound. This compound then enters the Calvin Cycle.

the carbon dioxide released by humans the plants take in through their leaves. Then chlroplast in the cells( which give the plants their green color) get to work by converting the carbon dioxide into energy and food the plants need thorugh the process of photosynthesis.
