Made in Germany. Porsche is owned by VW - in fact, Dr. Porsche used to work as an engineer for VW. They let him branch off and make his own cars, but VW has always owned the company. Ever notice how a 911 look a lot like an old VW Bug? The first Porsches even had a VW engine and chassis!

Aussie dude is wrong. Porsche is an independent company. It does do a lot of R&D work for VW, among many others.
