The Sun as it is now emits all kinds of electromagnetic radiation, including visible one. It emits this radiation from every part of its surface. The Sun is visible light years away just as the other stars are to us. In a planet light years away the Sun will appear at night like we see the night stars ourselves.

What do you mean? Do you mean where it doesn't shine on Earth or the Universe? If you are talking the Universe, their are plenty of spots that light from our star never hits, if you are talking about Earth, the sun hits every square inch of the planet at some points in time. It is because of the Earth's 23.5 degree tilt.

The sun does not shine in the andromeda galaxy. On Earth, the sun doesn't shine deep inside of a cave.

The sun is a star so anywhere super super far away from the Sun. Maybe a black hole, no light can get through those babies.

It does not shine in the following places:

dark matter (this is just a theory)

a black hole (black holes "eat" up the light).

in the middle of a star where the fusion reaction takes place.

and inside any substance dense enough to block radiation (such as light).
