The whole San Joaquin basin is famous for it's tule fog. It's worse that the San Francisco fog as visibility is reduced to near zero. Coastal cities have night and evening fog that occur along the entire coast of California up into Washington. Accidents caused by the tule fog are the leading cause of weather-related casualties in California. See the link below for more information.
