why do emachines suck they are fast for the first 1 - 3 months but then they start doing alot of stuff by itself they do not want to boost up i left mines on for about 8 hrs and it was still runnig slow know i got a gateway desktop and its super super super super super fast and when you turn it on you dont have to wait hrs for the computer to boost up you just turn it on and wait at least 5 seconds to load your settings and when its finished you can do what ever you want so do you like emachines i dont THEY SUCK

slow machines can be blamed on user error 99.9% of the time ... but emachines dont have a very good rep for quality i agree on that much ...

It is a poor carpenter that blames his tools. If your emachine was fast new, it should be fast now. If programmes are trying to run themselves you have allowed something to happen, it has nothing to do with the way the machine came. You have too many programmes trying to run at the same time, adware/spyware clogging up the works, a virus or other malware, you have allowed it to become seriously defragmented, or a combination of these factors.

The computer is not slow itself, but it is what you have running on it that is making it slow. After one to three months of use you probably have a lot of start up programs running and a lot of background programs running which are eating up your RAM and thus your performance, You probably also are not cleaning out your computer and defraging your hard drive so all in all its not the hardware at all.

Because they are the lowest on the scale of equipment that barely functions. People seem to think they are a great deal because of the price. Unfortuanely the price is a trap. E machines should be banned...
